The rope weaving shields speakers and utilities from view. Since the client is a DJ, sound was a very important part of modern interior design and decorating. The rope weave acts as an acoustic baffle absorbing background noise.
The rope was used structurally to support several items and blend with unique ceiling design. A large, custom made, steel framed mirror in the master bathroom and the dining room chandelier are supported by ropes. A large sliding door, decorated with the rope, provides privacy from the neighbors and shield the sun.
