Metal Tiles and Wallpaper Patterns Modern Curve

Walls and floors design is maybe the most important element of modern interior.
Entering the room people notice color, texture of the surfaces and react to the mood in the room right away.
No wonder, interior designers are focusing on the tiles, including wall tiles, floor tiling and wallpaper designs for the home interiors.

Designers are doing a good job creating attractive, interesting and functional wallpapers and tile patterns for modern houses.

Floor tile or wall tile installation became the most popular way of finishing walls and floors in bathrooms and kitchens.

Many bathroom tiles and flooring tile designs, including modern metal tiles that are available now, offer an unlimited choice of different colors, patterns and textures.

Metal tiles - mosaic

Metal tile design, offered by Karim Rashid, feel a bit post modern, but for those who are dreaming of  a unique wall tiles and are open for unusual metal mosaic tile concepts there is impressive decorative metal tiles designs to look at.

Mosaic tile patterns are popular. You can buy bathroom tile or kitchen tile sets and make any tile designs you wish. Mosaic tiles can be made of metal, including stainless still tile pieces.  The bathroom tiles or kitchen tiles mosaic method can create any pattern, and recently the computer technology made the process of decorative tile design much faster. Now a special computer program takes care of the prepared sketch for any custom tile arrangement.

Karim Rashid came up with creative metal tile ideas that united metal and tile properties. In collaboration with Australian company Alloy Design, which has developed the metal tile technology, they offered a collection of metal bathroom tiles and metal tiles for kitchen.

8 different types of metal bathroom tiles are developed with a soft curve on a metal tile edge. Various attractive curves of metal tile borders will give a bathroom hi-tech futuristic look. The bathroom remodeling will be dramatic with black metal tile art work, and also very simple - each $5 metal tile can be fixed on the wall like a mosaic.

Metal wall tile can be made of stainless steel, copper, brass, titanium, or raw steel that is not protected from the corrosion. Each wall tile style has its unique name: Karma & Kismet, Flux, Infinite, Karma, Kismet, Ninja, Kink, and Ubiquity. Decorated with black metal tiles kitchen walls will look extravagant and bold.

Modern tiling



In modern home tiles can be laid in several layers. The lower wall tiles can be darker, then light tiles are installed on the upper part of the wall. It creates stylish detail and divides the space of the wall with the tile color, making the space visually larger.

Metal tiles from Karim Rashid can be used not only for bathroom walls. They make very functional floor tiles and can be installed anywhere in the house, including the entry, and even outdoor patio. Metal wall tiles are strong enough for floor tiling. Beautiful steel tile designs are very durable, practical and make the selection of materials for home redesign easier.

Wallpaper

Fans of British designer Vivienne Westwood can't wait for her new wallpaper pattern works. Now the designer will show her creations not only to the fashionable world, but will develop wallpaper designs that can be seen at home. Westwood decided to cooperate with British company Cole & Son. Together they plan to create a large collection of modern wallpapers.

She thinks wallpaper prices will range from 55 pounds for a standard red wallpaper pattern up to 188 pounds for exclusive wallpapers with the tartan fabric pattern.

Wallpaper making

The story of wallpaper began long time ago. Chinese artists presented their paper art, first wallpapers patterns, to the world. Much later, in the 15th century, a beautiful wallpaper decoration came to Europe. Drawing on the paper was hand made at that time, so a wallpaper was expensive.

First ready for printing wallpapers pattern was designed in England. Than large pieces of paper with patterns were printed there. Technical progress has brought a lot of innovations for wallpaper making, including the special machines for the continuous production of wallpaper.

Now wallpapers are produced in rolls, but the first large pattern wallpaper roll was printed in France in the middle of the 19th century. Today the market offers unlimited variety of wallpaper patterns with spring floral and abstract prints, stripes and complicated curves. Various materials and unique graphics create dramatic decorative effects in the rooms, decorated with modern wallpaper  pattern.

Fabric wallpaper

Fabrics wallpaper is the most expensive and the most beautiful wall decoration. Different yarns and their combination can produce any fabric texture and curves in a fabric pattern. Fabrics wallpapers combine  wallpaper and fabric unique properties. The fabric as wallpaper helps to keep the inside room's temperature constant and have rich appearance, making the interior decor unforgettable.

Using fabric as wallpaper

Wallpaper with fabric is expensive and can get dirty very easily. Fabrics and wallpapers made with textile need to be vacuumed at least once a month. With a proper care fabric wallpapers will look good for about 10 years.

Designer Vivienne Westwood got inspired by prints from her own previous collection of clothing that is famous for Squiggle curves. She decided to design a similar wallpaper pattern with the Squiggle curves and to make the black wallpaper pattern on the red background.

'The collection  provides an excellent opportunity to work with a company with an impressive legacy and see their ideas that transformed the world of fashion in the world of interior design and wallpaper, Westwood said.
