Detergents and cleaners containing abrasive components are not recommended for cleaning acrylic bath tubs and shower stalls. They leave minor scratches on acrylic surfaces, so always use soft cloth and neutral liquid cleaners that are acrylic-friendly and follow the instructions provided by a manufacturer.

However, small scratches can be repaired. The spot on an acrylic shower or bath surfaces can be polished with a fine sandpaper and then with a toothpaste or a special wax for acrylic. Deep scratches can be filled with liquid acrylic and then polished also.
